Are you ready?

It's been said that 'good things come to those who wait'. While this saying teaches us the virtue of patience, it's only half the story. Perhaps it would be better stated that 'good things come to those who prepare'. Fine meals take preparation. The perfect piano solo takes preparation. A successful marriage takes preparation. A comfortable retirement requires preparation. And those who hope to receive from God will find that preparation also serves them well. Preparation itself involves patience, also readiness, waiting, and allowing God to go beyond our expectations to fulfill his will in our lives. The season of Advent is all about preparation. It is making ourselves ready to receive from Jesus this Christmas season.
Let us prepare our hearts together. Won't you join us?
