Part 19: Shake Off The Dust

Ever have the power of momentum working in your favor only to hit a brick wall? Or the experience of gaining support and favor with the crowds right up until you don’t? Jesus certainly understood this feeling, and the stakes couldn’t have been higher. Up until this point in Mark’s gospel, Jesus’ ministry continued to rack up win upon win. He was gaining favor and popularity. One would think he could then return for a visit to his hometown and receive an honorable welcome. However, when he decides to take his ministry for a visit home, the negative response Jesus received amazed even him.
