Part 23: Truth Over Traditions

How did Jesus feel about tradition? It might surprise you to learn that his concern in Mark’s gospel was not over traditions per se, but the hearts behind them. Too often, we become far more obsessed with looking ‘good’ on the outside but remain unchanged on the inside. Religion has this way of facilitating this external show. It leads us to saying one thing and doing and being another. God’s desire is that we hold His Word above traditions and ideals of men while having hearts that are truly devoted to Him.
