Part 8: Intentional Connection

When it comes to the seemingly infinite number of clubs, fraternities, and social collections of the day there is a common characteristic about them all: you have to ‘fit in’ if you desire to be accepted. However, the Church was never designed to be a ‘club’ at all, let alone a club whereby one must meet a very narrow set of guidelines to be loved and accepted. It seems that Jesus spent a good deal of time associating with the very people the super-religious people of his day shunned. What can we learn from the intentional way Jesus connected with the outcasts of his day?
