For The Glory of God
As we close out 2024 and look ahead to 2025, I’ve been reflecting on what it means to live intentionally for God’s glory. This past year, our overarching teaching theme, Manifest, challenged us to examine our lives and grow in the fruit of the Spirit, proving through our actions and attitudes that we are His Church. Now, as we prepare for the year ahead, casting vision and setting goals for all we might accomplish, the Apostle Paul, through 1 Corinthians 10:31, offers us a clear call: "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."
This verse reminds us that glorifying God isn’t reserved for Sunday worship or “big” spiritual moments. Every action—whether it’s mundane or monumental—can reflect His greatness when done with the right heart and purpose.
As Christians, we’re called to live with an eternal perspective. The world often values what is immediate and temporary, but we know that our ultimate purpose is to build for what lasts forever. In other words, in addition to doing everything that 'today' requires, we should also be sowing seeds for the future. Proverbs 13:22 says, "A good person leaves an inheritance for their children’s children," and Psalm 78:4 calls us to tell the next generation of God’s works. This year, let’s commit to leaving a legacy of faith and praise that outlives us.
One way we can grow in this is through our Lifehouse 2025 Bible Reading Plan. By immersing ourselves in God’s Word, we can better understand His heart, align our lives with His will, and live in a way that honors Him daily. To help with all levels of bible reading, the plan just covers the New Testament - an obtainable goal for everyone. I encourage you to join us on this journey—it’s a simple but powerful step toward glorifying God in everything we do.
Let’s make 2025 a year marked by intentional worship, eternal focus, and a legacy of faith. Together, we can live for His glory.
