Built on Truth That Transforms
Imagine standing in the shadow of the Roman Colosseum—a monument to an empire that once symbolized unmatched power and brutality. Funded by plunder and built by enslaved hands, the Colosseum hosted countless spectacles, including the persecution of Christians. Yet today, its crumbling ruins tell a story of the empire’s fall, while the truth of Christ continues to transform lives worldwide.
This week, we launched our "Unshakable" series with the message Transformative Truth. The foundation of an unshakable life is God’s Word—the ultimate truth that sanctifies, renews, and transforms us. As Jesus prayed in John 17:17, “Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.”
God’s Word sets us apart. Psalm 19 reminds us that Scripture is life-giving, reviving our souls and bringing joy to our hearts. In Jeremiah 31, we see God’s promise to write His truth on our hearts through a new covenant. This truth doesn’t just inform—it sanctifies us for His purposes.
God’s Word renews our minds. Romans 12:2 calls us to reject worldly patterns and embrace transformation through a renewed way of thinking. Whether meditating on Philippians 4:8 or standing firm in John 14:6, we find clarity and purpose when we anchor ourselves in God’s truth.
Transformation isn’t just personal; it’s also communal. Acts 2:42-47 paints a picture of believers devoted to Scripture, fellowship, and prayer. Together, they grew in faith and impact—a testimony to the power of God’s truth at work in community.
As we embark on a new year, let’s commit to immersing ourselves in Scripture daily. Allow God’s truth to shape your character, renew your mind, and transform your life. Together, let’s become a community unshakable in our faith and purpose.
