A Perspective That Perseveres
As we closed our Unshakable series, we reflected on a hope that endures—one rooted in God’s faithfulness and capable of transforming lives and nations. Adoniram Judson’s story captures the essence of enduring hope. Faced with loss, imprisonment, and incredible challenges, he persevered. His efforts led to the translation of the Bible into Burmese, the planting of a thriving church, and millions of believers today.
Judson’s journey reminds us that hope is not merely a feeling but a firm foundation anchored in God’s promises. Hebrews 10:23 calls us to “hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep His promise.” This trust fuels our perseverance even when the path is hard.
Yet, enduring hope is not meant to stop with us. It compels us to share the Gospel. Paul’s words in Romans 15:20-21 challenge us to bring the Good News to those who have not yet heard. Whether by going, sending, or supporting, we all play a role in God’s mission.
Finally, enduring hope shifts our focus from temporary struggles to eternal rewards. Hebrews 12:1-2 urges us to run with endurance, fixing our eyes on Jesus, who Himself endured the cross for the joy set before Him. How are you investing in what lasts forever?
Let’s be a church that lives out enduring hope—anchored in God, sharing His love, and looking heavenward. Together, we can glorify God and make an eternal impact.
