Alive for Real
This past Sunday, we gathered to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ—and as always, it was a beautiful moment. But if I’m honest, the deeper question in my heart this Easter wasn’t just, “Did He rise?” but rather, “Am I living like He did?”
In Romans 6, Paul gives us more than a theological summary. He gives us a personal blueprint. He tells us that we were joined with Christ in His death—our old selves buried—and raised with Him into new life. That’s not poetic language. That’s real. And it’s powerful.
You see, resurrection isn’t just Jesus’ story—it’s ours. His victory becomes our identity. We don’t have to keep dragging around the dead weight of who we used to be. We don’t owe sin a reply, because sin no longer has the mic. Jesus does.
That’s why I titled this message “Dead to Sin, Alive to God.” It’s not just a slogan—it’s a declaration. You’re not striving for resurrection. You’re living from it. You’re not trying to become someone new. You’ve already been made new.
So if you're still walking in shame or stuck in patterns that feel like spiritual quicksand, this Easter message was for you. Freedom isn’t a future hope—it’s a current reality. Because Jesus is alive, we can truly live.
